and the pigs will be there too! All of our favorite teams! Even the Irish are coming! Well, at least Ole Miss will probably be there, to bring some class to the field...
Host So. Miss isn't going to make it easy for the Rebels. Still 0-0 in the 4th. "Say, I recognize some of those twats waiving yellow hankies in the stands. They're caddies and waiters at our club."
This Ole Miss pitcher, Hunter Elliott, is a force on the mound. 63 strikes 24 balls 10 strikeouts 0 runs Through 7 innings. The Rebels are two innings away from punching their ticket to Omaha.
The announcers said earlier that Ole Miss had an excellent bullpen. This is a dark horse team to take it all.
Woah! the swine are in trouble. Tied 2-2 in the 8th, and they just made an error on a potential double play ball.
Pigs were down 3-2 in the bottom of the 9th. Pigs rallying. Now tied up 3-3. One out, men on 1st and 3rd...
Stanford 2 U Conn 1 in the 1st. Conn has 2 on with 2 out. High scoring game yesterday. Looks like that trend will continue. The Stanford fans seem much more sedate than the E. Carolina mob. Woah! U Conn just stole 3rd. U Conn in their Yankees pin stripes. Stanford coach out to the mound to discuss various vintages of Chardonnay with the pitcher and infield.
Woah! U Conn's OF robs Stanford of a homerun. Great catch above the outfield wall. Saved a 3 run homer. Still Stanford tags a run in and leads 3-1.
Stanford came to play today. 8-1 Stanford. It won't be a cakewalk for Cinderella U Conn. They've got to earn it. U Conn suffered an ejection for excessive griping to the umps. (leaving the dugout to make such excessive gripes might have also had something to do with it...)
I'm flipping a coin for both. U Conn is catching lucky breaks like they were Notre Dame or something. Auburn has a tendency to have a freakishly high scoring inning that blows the game open. You're right about who has the better players, I just don't know who will win these games, this particular day...?
^Good thoughts, Chop. That's why they play the games on the field. My final prediction for each game - at the end of nine innings (or extra innings, if tied at the end of nine), the team that scored the higher number of runs will be declared the winner.
