This shocking news was reported by ESPN. Oh -- and the sun came up today. And will tomorrow. Proud of Brittney for telling the world what most already knew. Embarrassed for Baylor fans who are "outraged" and/or "disgusted." They adored her as she was dunking the basketball and leading Baylor to record wins and a National Championship. But now -- the horror -- she's gay!

Pathetic and sad. Here's more breaking news: If you're a fan of women's basketball, you are a fan of gay female athletes. If it weren't for lesbians, there would be no women's basketball. Go the Women's Final Four if you need more proof. There would be no Final Four if it weren't for gay women -- on the floor and in the stands.

Baylor fans may want to consider how much hate they spew because they may just run off their best players. Hell -- even their coach.

I applaud BG for taking the courage to make her recent announcement to the world.

As for BU fans behavior, this is not a bit shocking. A reality check should be a required course at Baylor.

Obviously she had to wait until she was out of BU. They would have had to either kick her off the team or deal with a **** storm of hypocrisy (not accepting gays but letting BG slide).

When Ken Starr is running the school, a **** load of hypocricy is to be expected. Besides, its Baylor where the best indicator of future actions are past behavior.

As a gay man that is old enough to be BG's grandfather, I was most pleased when she referenced her coming out helping the "younger generation".
