This kid is going to get some attention when his draft eligibility comes up. He has great awareness, athleticism, size, speed, and something scouts will love--he blocks very well. Great to see this from a true freshman.
Burt is one the solid foundational freshmen in this program for sure. Can't wait to watch him mature as a player.
More college WR's should realize just how much downfield blocking is favored at the next level. If it's even close in skills, the effective blocker has a big advantage. People can rag Dez Bryant for whatever reason they choose, but the guy is a vicious mauler downfield. He enjoys eating his guy up and continues to look for new meat as the back rumbles downfield. Young guys like Burt already taking pride in this secondary aspect is truly impressive.
Yes, agree with all above. He made a fine catch, I think on a third down, where he wrestled the ball away from the Ksu defender. The kid is awesome.
His catch radius and ability to catch the stuff at the high point are superb. That we knew. Now we see what a terrific downfield blocker he is too. Speed to boot as well. Thank God mama delivered him to us against papa's wish for him to be at Auburn... And we have another one coming in like him next year too. Just wait for Collin Johnson to arrive from California.
