He opts out now, NO reason for him to be back next year, imo. But it is funny cause when I talked to his Mom (last year) she was adamant he would not leave before getting his degree. My how things change.
I almost guarantee his opting out will be noticed on the field. He must be making sure he doesn't get hurt making the tackles he's credited for. If he's a beast like Earl Thomas in the NFL, we'll know he was sandbagging. My take is it's a wasted draft pick for any NFL team that wants someone to play football for them. The NFL is already infested with "wokeness", maybe Caden Kapernick is the new normal.
Watch closely in the ISU game with this in mind: then make your own conclusions. Otherwise, no comment.
I didn't really see anything he did that was outstanding. Maybe it's defensive back university normality to consistently get burned/whiff on open field tackles, but go back and look at that touchdown for Iowa State. Similar to his "attempted tackle" of the TCU quarterback on the big touchdown run late in the game, he hesitates as if he's not sure how he's going to tackle this bigger person without getting hurt. That'll get you cut quick in the NFL.
I am tired of seeing him get burned and whiff on tackles. Perhaps thats the new "pro" training program but its not fun to watch. He had an awesome freshman year, pedestrian after that. Seems he got caught up in reading his past press clippings. Adios, mofo.
Me too IDE. I watched him and Collin most of the time they were on the field - wish I was still watching Collin in the BOrange.
I always felt he might be part of the cancer on this team. Just a hunch, and some of his comments. Hope I’m not being unfair.
understood, IDE, but because we care we're on this board. No one's opinions are safe here. No name calling to keep it civil, but everything is open for discussion/opinion.
Does this make two team captains amirite? There you go CDC... we've lowered the rim, provided a step ladder, and gently handed you the basketball. Please take your shot sir.
He hasn’t been good since his first year. I’m sure he won’t be the last to opt out. Is that a politically correct term for quitting?
I will be glad when all of these malcontents leave. All of them should opt out for the rest of the year. They havent been here anyway. Just take Tom with you.
Given his relatively poor play, I can't imagine his draft stock is high. Does this signal a transfer??? The clear signal is that Herman has lost this team
Color me disinterested. But good luck to Mr. Sterns in his post-football career. Job hunting can be a real pain in the *** sometimes.
At the risk of being PC incorrect, can we now strip the Unity message from the helmet and the we are one patch from the jersey? we are neither ...
