It's nice to see Michael starting to get his swing back. A couple weeks as the #2 so far appears to be having a positive effect, last night going 3-4 and a no-doubter to left. Glad to see the kid trying to work his way out of it. McCann's average has come down to a slightly less super-human .368 and he still leads the team, but the last 10-12 days have been a little tougher on him. I'll be curious to see how Pearce proceeds. Cantu hitting the ball could make McCann press or it could relax him a little bit and he could fill the DH role, I just don't know. The team isn't quite where I'd like, but I just don't have the depression watching them I did the last couple of years. They're young, but I do see growth. Lets see how the second half of the season goes.
Pierce has done a nice job of mixing the FR with upperclassmen. A strong 2018 recruiting class will make the future even brighter.
