Colt had a horrible OL his senior year. He got the hell beaten out him in 2009

 

Now that I'm in my 60s I'm very familiar with the waggle. Every trip to the urinal I employ that move out of near necessity

Believe it. How many yards did our RBs gain vs nebraska? Or Alabama?

Baylor almost killed colt that year. That game still lingers in my mind

 

We are comparing apples and oranges.We had no QB after colt got hurt in the first quarter.

 

Nebraska had Suh.
Nobody stopped him.

 

RBs averaged 1 yd per carry against Nebraska.

RBs gained less than 50 yards vs Alabama.

So are you saying that if we had Joe Theisman as our qb—college hall of famer, NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion—we would be ahead of where we are?

We did. If Colt had a good OL, we likely would’ve won 2 more National Championships and Colt would’ve won the Heisman—probably twice.

 

I really have to disagree. I think that after that back to back championship run, that second Heisman would have gone to Shipley.

 

Yep that oline sucked! Superior however to what we have today, tomorrow, next week, or next year or two years. Colt could manage around it!

 

Maybe so. We have been middling good to middling bad for a decade plus. It may take a radical shock to get us out of these doldrums.

 

Actually, if our OC hadn't called a play running our only game experienced QB into a NFL calibre Bama d-line we would probably have another MNC.
