The Link We're listed as a #3 seed in the West region. That's bad news, because we want to be in the South (Houston) region. Fortunately, we still have some chances to improve our seeding. Obviously, we could use that home W over KU, W's over other ranked teams like A&M and Baylor, and quality road wins, along with a nice showing in the Big XII tournament.
Having Washington State as a 1 seed is purely a gut reaction to Maryland beating UNC. Look at the profiles, and UNC is easily better than WSU. WSU's SOS is awful and they have seven fewer Top 100 wins than UNC. At least Doyel wasn't doing the brackets for CBS. He's the biggest joke out of any national college hoops writer. Texas in the West or South is purely based on opinion whether UT deserves to play in Houston for the NCAA's 2nd weekend with the FF in San Antonio.
