Count the bodies; it's the most morbid, but reliable statistic. It's also a 2-6 week time lag after case counts and hospitalisations. Doesn't look good for Texas right now, but a downward trend curve would be welcome!

I believe this is a graph of cumulative deaths in Texas. I agree on the lag time.

US vs. Texas. Haven't compared the data sources. I tend to trust Johns Hopkins, but perhaps I'm misinformed?

I think your are graphing cumulative deaths and not daily deaths.

How many of these deaths had co-morbidities like cancer, heart disease, even car wrecks. Those all get counted as COVID 19 deaths. Neal Ferguson said 2/3 of the deaths are co-morbidities globally. You could be looking at 25% to 35% of these death numbers being actual Covid 19 deaths.

Del Conte said today in his email that he expects 50% capacity at home games in 2020

I think My GF and I are opting out. I was going to have to miss the Game around Thanksgiving anyway. I’ve only missed three games in 21 years.

Won’t be a problem for the dept to meet the 50% guidelines due to fear porn. What will be funny if Horns are undefeated and the antibody therapy is fully approved and in the field by mid-October (after the OU game).

Nobody is wasting Covid-19 tests on dead car wreck victims.

You might want to send that suggestion to Sylvester Turner so he can pad his stats.

I agree, they just add them to the list. Or pad stats like Sabrehorn said. The news admitted this on air Thursday after a Houston area fatal accident.

Yes, it IS a graph of cumulative morbidity. But note the accelerated rate of growth (visually) in the past 12-14 days of the graph. You can actually grab the true numbers by clicking on the actual graph histogram bins in real time, if you want to run some statistics. Positive test cases have fallen very recently in Texas and Travis County, so those reductions SHOULD show up in the morbidity numbers in the next few weeks. Would be awesome if that trend continues!

There was a nurse who came out a couple weeks back with some very damning insight as to how some hospitals...especially in New York area....were padding stats and, even worse, doing things that were leading to deaths ascribed to covid with patients who didn't even come in with covid. And I myself know of two instances of padded stats via second hand knowledge from sources directly affected.

The padded stat conspiracy is all over the internet. Are full hospitals padded stats? My step daughter and husband are nurses working in a covid ward. Working their butt off and getting more patients every day. They are not treating fake cases. Patients are in gurneys in the hallways waiting hours to bee seen. A friend of mine told a friend of mine that heard that the hospital was padding covid deaths in order to get more money from the government stories are getting old.

My daughter works at Texas childrens hospital in the ER. She tells me it's like a war zone every day since they opened it up to adults.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

    Yup, padding is rampant.

Good friend of mine has a nurse daugther-in-law who is on front lines of the virus in a Dallas area hospital and she has shared many stories of NON - Covid deaths reported as Covid deaths AND people testing negative being reported as positive for the virus.

    FOLLOW THE MONEY !!!

I saw that video and it was a crushing blow. She was from Florida where they actually used HCQ and had 100% survival results. Then she was sent to New York in Queen’s Elmhurst Hospital where they refuse to give HCQ and wouldn’t even disinfect the rooms of covid patients and even inches that weren’t in the room anymore. Their survival rate was like 10% if I remember correctly.

They were also just showing covid 19 for certain patients to get the Fed aid. They also were intentionally putting negative patients in the same room with positive patients. The nurse was under cover and even had inside discussions with other nurses that seen what was happening. Some went there for other reasons and have died because of the hospital they chose.

To keep the nurse quiet they transferred her to another unit. It was pretty ruthless what they did. I recommend everyone to watch it. It’s on Youtube but they locked it so that it can’t be shared. I wonder why?

FYI - hospitals can both be overloaded with real patients and reporting false cases, in some cases within the same hospital.
