Hey, I’d love to see him get that job. Who knows? Perhaps that’s his ultimate destiny…

Perhaps Charlie will be like OA Phillips; never a major success in HS or college, but found his calling in the NFL

Charlie could do well as a D position coach, or maybe even a D coordinator somewhere. Head coach????????????? Seems like a reach. But best of luck to him.

You never know. Cliff Kingsbury might be the poster child. Couldn’t get it done at Tech and was fired. AZ hires him and he insists on drafting Murray with the first pick. They have lit it up since.

That Jacksonville owner must be out of his mind to even consider CS. He could throw a dart at the names of his coaching staff while blindfolded and pick a better coach.

He is hung out on Urban Myth's contract and is looking for cheap out. How do you think Bum Phillips got the Oilers job? He worked cheap.

Decision makers on CS hire all had Covid 19, right?

All had post-Covid brain to make this decision!

First thing CS will do is change the culture and get rid of 50% of the team. Will start with the stud QB. That should fix it!

Meyer was dumb to have Strong on staff. Apparently a few still buy his snake oil bs. I guess the Kahns…
I admit the Pro game is different….somehow the Steelers coach does well (probably all Roethlisberger)
If Meyer was smart he’d get back to College ASAP.

If Meyer was smart, he would actually retire while he has a tiny shred of dignity left.

so, replace a proven winner with a proven loser? I remember Jimmy Johnson cut a running back for fumbling and the Cowboys had already locked down a playoff position. Urban was just letting the players know who is in charge. Kahn would be smart to back his coach all the day. He’s just throwing gas on the fire by siding with the players.

Strongs most successful period as a college head coach was at Louisville with a outstanding QB. (Teddy Bridgewater)
So maybe there are some parallels here.

Agreed. What little dignity Meyer had leaked out of the umbilical cord and onto the hospital floor on July 10, 1964.

    No bet.

I was looking at the list of positive tests yesterday and the Jags are SOOOOO bad that they couldn't even catch COVID.

At this point in the season, the goal has to be the #2 draft slot...Detroit seems to have the top spot locked up. Strong might just be the man for the job since losing is required...

They aren't going to get quality to finish the season and whoever wears interim knows they have four games and then they are looking for work.

I suspect he gets a pass on most of the remaining contract figure...there is more than enough to demonstrate 'for cause.'

What Urban forgot is that there isn't a booster squad ready to write the big-cigar checks to make him go away. His parting gift is the box to put his crap in as he is escorted from the office...
