I knew it was going to happen! A few weeks ago she tweeted the Hook'em emoji saying nothing was better; several chose not to believe! Congrats to Chasity, her family, and the coaching staff! https://twitter.com/search?q=chazzthereal&src=typd
Really excited about this commitment! Based on her highlights, she can do it all, including draining it from 3 point land.
WOW!! That's a huge pick up for Coach Aston. Chasity kills two birds with one stone. Even though she's not very big she gives us the quality perimeter shooter that we really needed. And she gives us another guard that can consistently create her own shot. She's basically an even more explosive with the ball in her hands Brooke McCarty
A lot of these players congratulate each other despite where they're leaning but I hope this can get UT back on Charli's radar:
Here is a pic of didi holding up the same Houston sign But I'm glad Patterson is a longhorn.......hookem
I hear ya; but, that hook'em emoji is unmistakable . . . Numbers tightening up for the 2017 class. Hopefully, Chazz will be able to attend our summer camp in a couple of weeks and work on recruiting her future classmates; being the first to commit, she can be the bell cow of the class.
Welcome to Texas, Chasity! Very excited about this young lady and what she will be bringing to the team!
We couldn't have better news! Man, are we going to have some set of guards. Ever since I first heard about her, my fingers have been crossed.
ESPNw brief story on Chasity's commitment: http://espn.go.com/espnw/sports/art...itment-no-4-junior-prospect-chasity-patterson
The North Shore HS coach was quoted as saying "She's the best player in North Shore history ." That's a huge compliment, as the school has produced some tremendous talent. Welcome to Texas, CP!
I realize Jamie Carey just joined the coaching staff a few weeks ago, but I have to believe she made a good impression on Chasity and helped seal the deal; have to feel comfortable with your position coach.
Don't know how much it played into it (since apparently Karen offered her when she was in 7th grade), but would take the other tack that it didn't play a negative. Kudos to Karen and coaches for keeping the recruiting momentum going.
Longer ESPNw article on Chasity from February: http://espn.go.com/espnw/news-comme...kills-chasity-patterson-lowers-boom-opponents Her junior stats at the time: With those ultra-quick reflexes, Patterson is averaging 24.5 points, 5.6 assists, 5.4 steals and 4.4 rebounds for North Shore (29-1), which is ranked No. 2 in Texas' Class 6A. Her shooting percentages are also impressive: 49 percent from the floor, 39 percent on 3-pointers and 84 percent from the foul line.
Another great pickup for Coach A and UT. We will be competing for national championships and will beat Baylor soon!
Also a minor point that Baylor is no longer vacuuming up the top players in Texas. Mulkey hasn't lost the touch, but Karen is now near equal to her in success. And those recruits are reflected in our record.
