    and you talk about Mega Conference check out the 1897 SIAA(Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Associationof which the 'Horns were a member.

    Sixteen team conference, Horns didn't even play any other in-conference teams (WTF?), still went 6-2-0 OOC, finished tied for 7th in the conference?

    At least they didn't have to risk losing to the Cumberland Gaps or the SW Presbyterian Bible Thumpers. That would be embarassing.

    OTOH, apparently the seminal SEC teams even knew back then not to schedule The University of Texas Not Yet Longhorns.
