ran across this little gem on YouTube.....color footage of an NFL game from 1939 Brooklyn Dodgers at Detroit........according to Football ref.........the Lions won the game 27-7. The only puzzling thing is that the Lions played their home games at Briggs Stadium (Tiger Stadium for you youngsters) and that does look like Tiger Stadium to me. Footage isnt that sharp but the color is superb.....enjoy! PS I notice that there were a few rudimentary facemasks starting to pop up already.
