Given that the Patriots have done so well with the spread, do you think the Titans might go that direction?

Is there anyone at Texas that would be a good fit? Let us know any suggestions over at MCM.

Good for Vince. No more "celebrity" OC's, just hire someone who can let VY be VY.

No disrespect to Chow but this HAD to happen. It just wasn't working and the Titans need to commit to VY's game. The o could not have been worse this year and Chow deserves a lot of that blame.

For what it is worth, as a GD supporter, I think he would do very well in the NFL.

Let's just hope they didn't fire Chow because he wasn't conservative enough on offense for Fisher. [IMG]

More seriously though I'm surprised how much of the response on MCM is pro-VY. I've been under the impression that a lot of Titans fans have been blaming Vince for the horrendous offense.

Wow. The coaching turn-table will be interesting given the Pete Caroll interest in the NFL. Could Chow be his OC or replace him at USC?

Chow is a Honolulu native, should take the Hawaii job. But, I wish the Titans could get Heimerdinger back. He is the only OC that could get Fisher to back off. They were still fairly conservative, but more creative on down and distance choices.

The comments on ESPN are certainly for entertainment purposes only. I saw one that claimed VY was a "coach killer". HA!

Hmm. Maybe this will make the Titans a team to be able to sit through a whole game with next season?

This move HAD to happen. Norm Chow's playcalling has been horrible this past year and defenses knew what was coming before the plays were even called in the huddle. I'm not sure who they will hire to replace him, but I'm pretty sure it will be an upgrade. Chow is more of a college OC anyway.

    EDIT:

According to the Tennessean, the Titans will pursue Denver OC Mike Heimerdinger to be their new OC.
    The Link

MH was with the Titans from 2000-2004 and was the OC for McNair when he was Co-MVP with Peyton Manning in 2003. He knows how to coach a mobile QB.
