Beard is building this roster y'all.
Time to reclaim the NIT title!
I have good information that he will bring in top talent right away. With better defense and toughness, they will get better right away. If Beard can encourage offense out of the team, they should have good success.
Can you imagine if this team makes a Sweet 16 or Elite 8 in his first year?
Dylan Disu transfer from Vandy but from Pflugerville is coming to Texas!!!
Oh, that's just the beginning.
We're talkin Final Four next year!!!
Had a season ending knee injury in February. We need some height down low, and in comes Disu.
Texas lands pledge from Vanderbilt PF transfer Dylan Disu

Dylan Disu, Vanderbilt, Power Forward
Those are some serious stats against the SEC. Those are not mid-major numbers.
The (little) film I've seen on him shows him running the court pretty well for a 6'9" guy. He also has a rather high 3 point shot % for a big guy. The obvious question with him is: will his knee heal up and hold up?
I don't know, what happens if Texas runs into Marquette?
That would in the Hawaii tournament or some Christmas tournament
A battle of two coaching giants.
Did I miss something? Has Shaka been fired at Marquette already?
He hasn’t dumped them to go to Duke, at least not yet.
I recall you said the same thing about this year before Shanka pulled his usual 1 and done.
Ramey is returning...
Courtney Ramey announced his return.
I hope Chris Beard can help Courtney Ramey become a consistently better player than Coach Smart did, because when Ramey was good, he was really good.
Coleman is going pro.
Is that confirmed?
It's on the Texassports.com website.
I hope he can help him become a better teammate.
Texas G Matt Coleman declares for 2021 NBA Draft
I'd say when Ramey is playing well, he is a good teammate. When he gets frustrated (either with himself or perhaps with others) he plays poorly and often selfish hero-ball, and is much less of a good teammate. This was most obviously exemplified by the funk he went into after his spat with A Jones. So I agree, because I think what you said is closely linked with what I said.
Good luck to Coleman. I doubt he has much of an NBA career, but I can see him being pretty good overseas. For me he is the definition of a tweener. Not quite a point gaurd due to quickness and not quite a shooting guard due to height.
Marquette earns the L with authority.
I wasn't aware that Duke Energy had an interest in Shaka
Plant operator by day, coach the corporate team by night.
And wouldn't you know it? Said corporate team is destined to win the local league tourney, (the 2nd level tourney that is).
no way, the fighting Marquette Golden Smaka Sharts are going to win it.
Any rumors on Brown or Sims?
Of course, I hope both return. Sims already has the defensive skills, and during the second half of last year, he really developed his offense. But Brown, while probably the better raw talent, needs a lot of work before he's anywhere close to NBA ready. There's also the maturity thing.
