very interesting for sure - this could mean alot in the recruiting picture - she is the simmons girl's AAU coach, the player from cibolo steele - Rutgers is all over her and was at a couple of games and practices this past year - i know gail is also after simmons as well and would take her now if she could -will be interesting
Why was Clarrisa not pursued by Coach G. She obviously is a legend and very capable. The Simmons kid is the real deal and Oklahoma just got a verbal from the Cloman kid, another very skilled player Clarrisa coached this past year. It is a shame that we could not keep her where she belongs and some east coast school will reap the rewards of her status.
why bash gail? most likely it was something of a matter of cleaning house while still getting top notch recruiters for the Big 12 ...
it is very rare for an incoming coach to keep previous coaches especially when one high profile coach is replacing another - look at what happens in football - all that said - to follow up Coach G is really after simmons - she has been to games, sent coaches to practice, etc (just to clear up that she is doing the same as rutgers and others) - Her staff is doing a great job - hopefully they can land an impact player so others will come - the 2009 and 2010 classes are loaded - we don't need all of them going out of state
