I keep reading about the new clear bag policy and how it applies to all UT sporting events except volleyball. The following is copied and pasted from the texassports.com site.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
Effective Aug. 1, 2017
for all sports (except Volleyball)
APPROVED
•Bags that are clear plastic and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12"
•One-gallon clear resealable plastic storage bags
•Small clutch bags or purses do not have to be clear but cannot exceed 4.5" x 6.5"
PROHIBITED
•Purses
•Diaper bags*
•Cases (camera, binocular, etc.)--the actual camera or binoculars seems to be okay
•Backpacks
•Fanny packs
•Printed pattern plastic bags
•Reusable grocery totes
•Mesh or straw bags
•Duffle bags
•Large totes
*Items normally carried in a diaper bag must be put into a clear plastic bag for venue entry.

Prohibited items
•No smoking
•No outside food or drink
•No backpacks or purses or bags larger than 12”x12”x12”
•No recording devices
•No hard containers
•No firearms, weapons or fireworks
•No banners or noisemakers
•No items deemed unacceptable by building management
•No concealed handguns pursuant to Section 30.06, Penal Code (trespass by license holder with a concealed handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun licensed law).
