    Tyler,
Didn't say I wasn't, but I also have not written one liners stating the same thing over and over again. Every point I have made is followed with my reasoning, whether it is right or wrong. What is the point of writing on every thread a one liner that is unlikely to happen?.

Finally, Cummings slammed the door on Clemens. 'It's hard to believe you, sir,' Cummings told Clemens. 'You're one of my heroes. But it's hard to believe you.'"

Where do the democrats care about perjury? They did not when their President committed it. After all if it is about an unimportant matter is just does not matter.

If we totally discredit and refuse to believe the testimony of every liar then nobody would ever be convicted in this country. We are talking about illegal activity, these people are not choir boys.

Besides, McNamee had a reason for every lie, to protect his clients. His testimony was corroborated by Pettitte (Clemens' life long friend) and Knoblauch (Clemens' teammate). How anyone can believe that Clemens is innocent is beyond me.

I'm 100 percent convinced he used. I'm 100 percent convinced he has perjured himself. I hope he gets a short prison stint.

Where does the entire process go from here? When (if they do) will perjury charges be brought against one party or the other?

Pettittes testimony DOES NOT prove McNamee right. I would believe that if he had talked to Clemens on several occasions about it, but if it was one conversation "about 10 years ago" then that leaves a lot of doubt.

i would have liked it better if andy had said they had numerous occasions about it. However, Andy DID NOT say that he had talked to him about it more than this once. So, after working out together for years they only talked about this ONCE? I believe what Pettitte says but that doesn't make McNamee right. However, giving there is only ONE conversation, there could have been a miscommunication. happens all the time.

if you want to go the "teammate" route with Chuck, then there are other other teammates who are willing to testify that Clemens did not take steroids.

After all of this nonsense today, including the committee chair becoming the joke of the entire nation, we have found out nothing. There is no more proof either way and McNamee has only been proven to have told nothing but lies the entire time. Why is it now that he says something everyone wants to believe, he is telling the truth?

He is wrong with his timelines, he is wrong about the party, he is ON RECORD admitting he lied to federal prosecutors, over and over again. he is also on record admitting that he lied as late as January 5th about having physical evidence.

McNamee is NOT a credible witness, unless you want him to be. Clemens could be as guilty as he could possibly be, but are going to make me believe that he would put his FREEDOM on the line to protect his HOF vote? Why does Clemens not get credit for doing EVERY SINGLE THING that people said he should do? He TESTIFIED under oath, putting himself at risk, but everyone wants to believe an ex-cop who has lied so many times you can't even count?

Furthermore, McNamee has been proven to be a liar about ..."feeling horrible..." about giving these drugs, when he told several people that it was not illegal and could help them.

For anyone to categorically deny everything Clemens is saying is just as naive as me categorically denying everything Clemens is guilty of.

What I do know, is that Rep Waxman is as corrupt a congressman as I have seen and that is saying something. There should be hearings for him IMHO.

It's simple, either 4 people are lying or 1 person is. What motivation do those 4 people have to lie?

One other point, the nanny does not say that Roger was there, she says his kids were there. That does not conflict with Rogers claims that he was elsewhere, that is backed by a lot more people than McNamee, who wasn't even there.

what do some of you have so invested in roger clemens?

i think its pretty obvious that they are all liars. because mcnamee is an untrustworthy drug pimp doesn't make roger a knight in shining armor. i think it's pretty clear that roger used, and knew he used, like the rest of the guys in baseball.

roger ****** himself when he came out swinging with rusty hardin by his side.

They care about perjury as much as Republicans cared when Scooter perjured himself. Both sides are full of ********.

The best part of the hearing today wasn't the testimony from any of the witnesses, but the ridiculous grandstanding from the ******** on the committee.

First of ya'll, I will say again that I do not believe that either Clemens or McNamee is telling the whole truth. I am simply hopeful that Clemens did not use HGH.

I do not understand those who said McNamee was only lying to protect his clients, and had every reason to lie. That may have been true prior to the Mitchell report, but that does not explain why he was lying to investigators in December or January. Why would he tell investigators that he did not have proof that Clemens used (after he had already thrown him under the bus and I believe Clemens had already filed suit against him at that point)??? Then about a month later he comes up with this hard evidence he had been hiding for 6 or 7 years. That makes no sense to me. It also makes no sense why he would lie to protect people that he did not trust and had to keep incriminating evidence regarding.

I hope that McNamee gets a nice sentence for obstruction of justice for lying to the federal investigators. He seems like a real sleaze ball. Having said that, if proof comes out that Clemens is lying, I hope that he does more jail time than McNamee.

So big tough Clemens finds out that this scrawny punk McNamee is injecting his wife with illegal drugs and what does he do? Does he beat the hell out of the guy? No. Does he tell the guy to never show his face around his family? No. Does he fire the guy? No. Clemens testified that he told McNamee not to bring alchol in his house "because he has kids." Yet, bringing in drugs to shoot up his wife wasn't enough to earn a dismissal? Come on....

My beef is with the government. I'm anti-government in general. I would have been at home with the framers of the Constitution who, as I understand it, wanted a government as small as possible. They did not trust government, and so the Constitution was designed to protect the citizens from the government -- not to protect Americans from each other or from foreigners.

The sole aim was freedom from government tyranny.

This hearing is about one thing: maintaining government power. The way the committee questioning is conducted it is do two things: (a) hold power in the Chair, and (b) allow strutting and posturing by the rest as they wield power over those brought before the committee.

Okay, if it's internal and those present WORK for the government, and the hearing is a matter of oversight (before, during and after appropriations and appointments). But to step into the lives of sports and entertainment (hey, you're a freaking Communist, so you can't make movies), is absurd.

Some on the committee said it best today. Congress' job is oversight, and pursuing legislation, but I say only that which is their business.

The lives of Americans, even in our sports, if our freacking business and not that of the damned government. If a performance-enhancing drug is to be judged or weighed in it's harmfulness or permissiveness... well, ****, if we have legal alcohol, tobacco, Viagra, and Gosh-knows all the rest of pharmaceuticals, what the hell kind of hypocrisy is that?

This hearing shows that everything the hearing is about -- including the process of holding the hearing and asking such question -- is not the business of government.

I'm just glad a few committee members today spoke on my behalf when they crapped on the hearing. Way to go.

I want one result from these hearings: to leave a foul smell on the image of Congress. Just as it should be.

    Today, government was on trial.

This committee is all about, "Whose your Daddy?!"

i dont know how anyone can believe they KNOW Roger is guilty of anything after that hearing.

if you totally exclude McNamee's testimony as he has been shown to be a liar and completely untrustworthy, what do you have left?

One conversation with Andy Petite almost 10 years ago? Isnt it possible Andy could have misunderstood? Especially in light of the 2005 conversation that Andy testified to, wherein Roger corrected Andy and told him that Andy must have misunderstood him. If you are Andy and you are one of Roger's best friends, and you think in 1999 you had a conversation with Roger about HGH and then he later corrects you saying you misunderstood, would you still act like there is no doubt about the 1999 conversation? I know i would have some doubts and would trust my friend that i must have misunderstood him. i would not testify under oath and throw my buddy under the bus when its possible i could have misunderstood and that misunderstanding was pointed out to me more than 3 years ago before there was an investigation or hearings. thus, i have concerns about andy and his convictions.

and you're gonna tell me that these two best friends were both using HGH provided by the same trainer but only had 1 conversation about it? why? does that make sense? or does it make more sense that roger didnt use and didnt know about andy's use and that andy didnt want roger knowing what he was doing. that makes a whole lot more sense to me.

    what else is there?

a nanny saying his kids came later that day? proves nothing.

    anything else?

jose canseco? give me a break. they allegedly had conversations but canseco has no proof roger ever used.

from my point of view, roger had a great hearing. he answered every question. he stood strong and made his case.

Ok, so let me get this straight, Brain McNamee told the truth about Pettitte, Knoblauch and Roger’s wife but he lied about Roger just to see Roger go down? If that was the case, why didn’t he just write a book or leak it to reporters?

Also, Roger had no idea that his wife was going to use HGH but somehow she knew exactly who to turn to get it? Lucky guess? Then after Roger check’s Brain’s bag and finds HGH in his house and that Brain shot his wife without coming to him first, Roger doesn’t fire him on the spot??? Get real.

Roger used. He threw Andy, his wife and his agents all under the bus to protect what is most important to him….his legacy.

The only thing more mind-boggling than that circus today is that some people still believe Clemens is telling the truth.

As much as Pettitte has revered Clemens over the years, Roger could learn a thing or two from Andy about how to handle things when one is in way over his head.
