he was nails during his days............him and Charley Waters would de-clete you in a heartbeat. Remember the story of his teammates giving him a helmet with a red flashing light on top so they could see him coming and not get laid out!

He was a beast and absolute warrior! One of my fav Cowboys back in the day. His daughter works for the same company I do and offices across the hall from me. I'll have to go ask her about this and congratulate her / her dad!!

Yeah this morning when I saw Carmichael was getting in, he and Pearson are basically the same dude. I think Carmichael got in for his "versatility" in playing different positions, but they put up very similar numbers every year and had virtually the same accolades.

I think the main thing keeping Pearson out is his mouth. He's been badmouthing the HoF voters since his first year of eligibility, and lobbying for himself practically every year. They just don't want that in Canton.

I've been a big fan of Cliff Harris. Class act, hard hitter and champ. Adore Drew too. I've been a fan of the Cowboys so long I remember him as a rookie.

The guy was a beast in the secondary. He would knock the crap out of WRs and ball carriers. Waters was a hitter as well. Glad to see Cliff inducted to the HOF.

Drew belongs in, before Cliff, before Swann.

In addition, he was the ultimate tough guy. Played with immense pain and went over the middle fearlessly. The old /original cowboys training site was next door to my first apt (when I moved back to Dallas out of college) . He'd wobble to the Tom Thumb across the street for lunch, looked like an elderly man the way he walked. That would be on a Thursday, he'd suit up and make catches over the middle the next sunday

You couldn't pay me enough to do what he did. I'd say that to myself watching him walk like a cripple at age 30, while I was on my way to my cubicle down the street

That car wreck that killed his brother in 1983 was the end of a great player's career....
