Vol Horn 4 Life Good Bye To All The Rest!

This is the "what happened to them" update from the original Karate Kid on Netflix. I can't tell you how old this has made me feel seeing how old the actors are. I think it's pretty good so far starting season two, but the constant play on the original is getting tired already. Wax on, wax off....paint the fence...constant flashbacks to the original movie. I'm going to keep on to see where this goes.

I like the flashbacks. It is heavy on nostalgia. It gets weighty but they are betting on the emotional strings getting pulled. I think they are right.

The wax on, wax off stuff is fun because it is part of the process. It mixes nonviolent movements into martial arts. For telling a story it is repetitive but it is important for the 2 ways they are showing.

The best thing about about the show though is that it is extremely nonPC. Neither dojo is woke. That ideology doesn't exist in the story. The story is about competing but similar versions of masculinity.
