Let's see what he can do tonight with a full week's preparation time. I'm rooting for him. :hookem:

If Philly keeps up the seven and a half minute drives like they did to open the game, Colt won't have many chances.

Big defensive guy fell on Colt's ankle. He's limping on the sidelines. Now going back to the dressing room. Sanchez is warming up. I hope this isn't over before it begins, but it ain't looking good. Nuts. Sanchez coming in. They showed Colt backstage limping out of the X-ray room.

First play after Sanchez comes in is a 90 yard TD run straight up the middle by Peterson--the longest TD run of his college or pro career, believe it or not.

Heard it about Colt at half-time. He’s done. Too bad, he’s been on the sidelines for a few seasons and this happens.

Since January of 2010 it seems like the only luck Colt has has on the football field is bad luck.

I don't know if I'd say that, duke. He has made a nice living as an NFL backup. But I do get what you mean - seems like he gets injured far too often since 2010 when he sees the field.

Sucks for Colt, he will have to console himself with the 10 million plus he has made over last decade. Not too bad.

honestly, maybe God is just saving him from the effects of taking all the hits. his "luck" as a pro has been terrible.

He can retire from the NFL with a good retirement and go be Mack's QB coach.

Karma whacked the hell out of the 'skins for having signed the domestic abuser...unfortunately, Colt was in the path of the karma bus and became collateral damage.

Really hate to see him down, especially since a good showing these last few games of the season set him up to make an additional couple of million in the new contract. Structure was such that SOMEONE was going to be ensuring that he got an increase in the off-season, even if he stayed with Washington.

Given that he basically walked up the tunnel under his own power, I am hoping this was more like a 'green-stick' fracture as opposed to a clean and complete break. This would at least give a shot at the leg healing even stronger. However, if the break occurred as he lost his footing as opposed to when he made contact with the defender, then that bodes less well for an ability to return using the running component of his game. His ability to use his wheels is what helped to overcome the lack of arm (relative to others in the game).

This could wind up being the event that moves him towards the sideline as a coach instead of being able to return as a player...although maybe if he CAN return as a player, it will be with an O-line that can actually protect him. He never had it in Cleveland and he certainly did not have it in Washington this season...

I'd like to see Colt on the Texas Gameday broadcasts. I used to like Dan Neil, but he's become very annoying. Doesn't seem to take it seriously and just laughs the whole time. Anyway, Colt alongside Shipley would be good.

The new narrative will be to sign 'nick...after all, can they suck any more than they will with Sanchez at the helm? I believe that his signing would result in an answer of "Why yes, yes they absolutely CAN suck worse than they did with Sanchez last night."

Soooo Colt got hurt because he was on a team with a domestic abuser? With that outlook, I guess you're saying Colt should've left the team immediately once the domestic abuser was signed, did not, God saw it, and WHAM, Colt got what was coming to him......

Have said unkind things on this board about Colt, but implying that he got hurt because the Redskins are an evil organization is sorta creepy.....

As long as they don't sign Nathan Peterman they won't reach the full extent of suckage.

    Lighten up Francis...

You apparently have no sense of how to parse discussions of karma...nor do you grasp notions of collateral consequences.

It IS the xmas season...but I don't know if he has any picks left to give out...oh hell, who are we kidding...Peterman has an unending supply of picks to give out to a defense.

Just a cursed pro career. For someone who "just wins," he sure never got anywhere close to that because of his draft position and unlikely teams that he ended up on.

Heck, his only win of the past 7 seasons was against the Cowboys in Dallas.

I feel bad for him, but he made nearly $14 million since he left Texas, so not too bad.

Although there were a couple of games before Washington decided to make Cousins the full-time undisputed #1 QB; where Cousins started, got benched, and Colt turned it around and Washington won, but the "QB win as a starter" went to Cousins.

At some point I am convinced that things will work out very well for Colt. I just have that feeling.

By the way, there was an interesting coincidence last night. Do you remember who interviewed a very classy but extremely emotional Colt McCoy at the end of the NC game against Bama? It was the same reporter that broke the news last night. Perhaps someone should keep Lisa Salter (who I like) as far away from Colt as possible.

Tough break for Colt but it was the non weight bearing bone, so to speak, that he broke. As good as could be hoped for. Should have a complete recovery and be ready to next season.

I've thought this a lot actually. Colt will do a lot more good off the field than on it, no matter how good he is at football. Sometimes God has a way of reminding us about things like that.
