Comey and Mueller

Devin Nunes worried Biden (and by extension Obama) will shut down John Durham's inquiry. Asks about a special counsel

Impeachable if he shuts Durham down?

Devin Nunes warns 'growing concern' that Biden and Obama will shut down Durham inquiry

How long does Dud Ham need? Tell me, if he was a fraud, who just wanted an easy, self-paced assignment to draw a big salary, and add retirement points to his pension, while accomplishing nothing, what would he do differently?

That's a different question
So do you think that would be impeachable? Trump was impeached for much less. Hearsay and hurt feelings over a phone call. Certainly the media could not paint this as anything other then abuse of power and obstruction, right?

I have more questions than answers on that

From my perspective, everything involved with this matter was a miscarriage of justice. Everyone convicted as a result of this coup attempt should have their charges dismissed with prejudice by DOJ and/or receive a full pardon. And everyone who was affected by it should file personal lawsuits against Mueller and all others involved (Bivens' suits or statutory remedy).

Carter Page files suit for $75M. The Complaint does state a Bivens claim, as well as a claim under the Federal Tort Claims Act and some other theories. It's attached below, makes for a good read

Named defendants
JAMES COMEY
ANDREW McCABE
KEVIN CLINESMITH
PETER STRZOK
LISA PAGE
JOE PIENTKA III
STEPHEN SOMMA
BRIAN J. AUTEN
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE,
FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATON,
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
JOHN DOES 1-10, and
JANE DOES 1-10

The Govt reflexively and quickly moves to substitute the United States for named individual federal employees acting in their official capacities. Would be a great day if Barr told them to "hold off on that for now."

IRS tax filings show Obama's "Organizing for Action" paid Perkins, Coie LLP $302,000 in "legal services" in 2016 as Perkins Coie paid for the discredited anti-Trump Russia dossier and spread its debunked allegations to the Hillary Campaign, DNC, DC and NY media and the FBI

Obama is such an azzhole

Judge Emmitt Sullivan formally dismisses the case against Flynn because it's "moot" given the Pardon.

The key passage:
"The history of the Constitution, its structure, and the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the pardon power make clear that President Trump’s decision to pardon Mr. Flynn is a political decision, not a legal one," Sullivan, who was appointed by former President Clinton, wrote. "Because the law recognizes the President’s political power to pardon, the appropriate course is to dismiss this case as moot. However, the pardon 'does not, standing alone, render [Mr. Flynn] innocent of the alleged violation.'”

Cruz wrote letter to Wray/Barr pointing out that the conflict in testimony between Comey and McCabe means that one of them lied under oath and it was a felony (regarding their knowledge and approval of the 2016 Clinton media leak)

“One of them is lying under oath-a federal crime. 18 U.S.C 1621. The American people deserve to know who."

Comey has a book out
In an interview for it, he said --

“The Republican party needs to be burned down … It’s just not a healthy political organization.”

My question to you --
Is this free speech
Or, is it incitement to violence?
Think about it

The "unhealthy" Republican Party has:

half the seats in the Senate.
about 49 percent of the seats in the House
Over half the state houses, and a wide advantage in the 3 way of Gov/house/Senate in the states.

But yeah, Comey was fired for being a liar, leaker, and backstabber by a Republican president, so it's evil to him.

As to your question, all speech questions start with an assessment of the status of the speaker. If they are Party Members in Good Standing, calls to murder political opponents are just funny jokes, and ironic, not deserving of censure or punishment.

Said from the outset it was a coup attempt
Nothing has ever altered that fact
These people should be in shackles

The DC Bar wont even kick Clinesmith out, for perjury and document forgery

If you were going to bet what punishment the DC court would hit Clinesmith with for political corruption, perjury and forging documents, what sentence would you guess?

Did you guess "Probation?"
If so, collect your winnings

In the memetime, one of the good guys on the internet was recently arrested and is being threatened with 10 years in the pokey.
What for?
For posting a meme on the internet
This is not a joke
He made a meme telling Hillary voters (i.e., low IQ folks) they could vote via text
Which, of course, was funny since that is impossible

But it has not stopped the same DOJ who let Clinesmith off with no sentence for misleading the FISA court in the Carter Page boondoggle which lead to the fake impeachment of a president.

We have right now in this country a two-tiered system of justice. Whether you get charged, tried and sentenced depends upon your personal beliefs. We are not much different right now than they were in the Middle Ages with witch dunking. This cannot stand.

" .... Mackey was arrested in Florida this week on charges that he violated 18 U.S.C. Section 241, a statute that makes it a federal offense carrying up to ten years in prison for, among other things, conspiring to “injure … any person … in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States.” As statutes go, it is not a model of clarity.

The facts supporting the claim are, according to the criminal complaint filed by the government, as follows: Mackey and others agreed to try to suppress voter turnout for Hillary Clinton in 2016 by creating social media posts that encouraged people to cast their ballots for Clinton by means of a text message. A person doing so would be wasting their effort. You cannot cast a ballot by text message. Presumably, a person who cast such a ballot would not then turn up at the polling place, and their vote would be lost.

As political trickery, the plot is sheer genius. As P.T. Barnum once noted, there’s a sucker born every minute. If there are people stupid enough to fall for this, well, I suppose they didn’t cast lawful ballots. One wonders whether a person gullible enough to fall for this scam ought to be voting in the first instance, but we lack, of course, any standards for determining who can and cannot vote.

But here’s a shocker. This “crime” took place four years ago. Why the delay in bringing the charges until after the 2020 election, and on the cusp of an impeachment trial in which claims of electoral fraud will be raised? It reeks of partisan misdirection.

More shocking is that this prosecution, a felony charge carrying a term of imprisonment of up to ten years, was not apparently presented to a grand jury. Under the federal constitution, a defendant has a right to grand jury consideration of charges before being dragged through the mud of a public scorn....."

What's Really At Stake In The 2016 "Meme" Prosecution of "Ricky Vaughn"

A judge appointed by Obama. It seems like a liberal can get away with anything in Washington and conservatives like Flynn are harassed. Hell, Stone was going to go to prison.
