Looking for a larger Compact Flash Card for my Digital Camera. Does Brand name matter? Who's the best? SanDisk? Lexar? Kodak? Fuji? Kingston? Looking for a 512MB or maybe 1GB type 1 Card.....found some good deals but are there any brands I should stay away from?
There are sites with have comparison ratings of CF cards. Scan some of the threads here, and you should find a consensus to answer your question. The Link The brands I researched last time around that were worthwhile are Transcend (which I got), Kingston, Ridata, and Viking. This place is a great source for cards. I'd call them rather than order over the net. See if their prices are comparable to what you've found. The Link (Holy ****...a Transcend Ultra 1GB for $95?? Prices are dropping like a rock lately.)
