Although Ernie Irvin made the 36 famous, I always followed H.B. Bailey in the 36 car since he was from Houston. Bailey was an independent driver that built and owned his owned cars. I was always in a Pontiac which seemed to always be red. I believe he did a lot racing a Meyer Speedway in Houston. Other notable drivers such as Foyt and Terry Labonte raced at Meyer which was on S. Main. I couldn't find his Cup car, but here's a Firebird he drove.
It would be a crime to pass up Harry Gant in the Skoal Bandit #33. Gant was always fun to watch on TV since he seemed to always take the high groove on the track, giving him the nickname Highlane Harry
