Regardless of his off the field issues, he remains the greatest kicker ever in the game. Between his punting and place kicking, how many games did he win for us?

 

Too many FG's to remember that helped win low scoring games...

My favorite RE punt was the 71 yarder vs. ou in 1977. Horns were in a deep hole at their end of the field and he completely flipped the field position.

 

I was there.
Aune, McBath and McEachern are the other names that stand out in the memories.

 

I seem to remember sitting in Section 107, Row 10, watching a guy named Steve Hall layout a certain DB from Galveston Ball to enable our RB to score our only touchdown. Whatever happened to that kid carrying the ball? Wore #20 as I recall.

Yup, I was also there - West side stands around the 30 yd. line about 20 rows up. I was pretty damn concerned when Mark McBath goes down and then 3-4 plays later Jon Aune goes down!

I remember my brother and I were scrambling, flipping through the game program trying to find out who # 6 was. I read later MacEachern enters the huddle and OG Rick Ingraham told him to just hand the ball to Earl and get the hell outta the way!
