Just for fun, and to document the silliness that is the Texas depth chart I'm going to start counting the "OR" designations on the depth chart each week (yeah, I'm bored). So, for KU that's 13 ORs, or about half the overall positions listed. Can't seem to get access to the previous charts, so I don't know if that is a season high, but it's gotta be close. That's an awful lot of players grading out exactly the same each week in practice. Can't someone arm wrestle or run a 40 against a teammate to decide their depth chart slot? Ok, joking aside, what's the point of a Texas depth chart anymore?
The coaches must produce a depth chart to the upcoming weekends opponent by the Monday before the game. Every week in Mack's Monday 11am weekly presser he stresses that this is to satisfy the requirement and that things are fluid throughout the week and the players with the best chace to help us win will start.
