    Horns leave 2 on, then gives up the K.

    Pitchers duel going on right now.

    Top 6th.

    Slow top of 6th. 1st Gator doubles. 2nd pops up; no advance. 3rd batter Ks.

    Shugart gets batter to line to Hamilton who then throws to 1st, DP, end of top of 7th. 5-0 Gators.

    But Horns have had chances. McKenzie base hit to lead off.

    Horns can do this.

    Remember Augie, something like this: "Don't try to win the game with each at bat. Just win your at bat. Win the inning. The rest will take care of itself."

    That flamethrower is in the dugout. Maybe Horns can get a couple of rallys.

    No bats. Too much looking. Will never beat a good hitting team. I am very impressed with their getting to the World Series but they cannot score enough runs to be competitive in this environment.
    I never liked small ball. I can only hope that David Pierce feels the same way.

    Gator reliever pulled after starting Zubia at 0-1, goes to 2-1. New pitcher. Rain has stopped.

    A couple of good recruiting years and Pierce could have this program elite again. I would think getting to the CWS this year will make recruiting a little easier.
