I got these prior to the 2007 Season and enjoyed the responses received when walking to the stadium... even if the majority of responses came from Longhorns between the ages of 4 and 12... Safe to say I beat Nike to the punch on their offering and in my personal opinion with a much better shoe - why should the duckies be the only one with a custom running shoe - (cough - BS) REAR VIEW: FRONT VIEW: SIDE VIEW: I wear a LARGE...
Horns69, eflow24 has the same color scheme as the shoes you put forward and delivered two options on this color scheme prior to your shared photo... If the winner of this contest is based solely on the customization of this particular model of shoe... I'd have to give credit to eflow24 for his submission over yours based on date of submission... well that and I don't who LarryJ is versus Orange Capes and Boom MFER... Now if shoe model is open for the contest - then my biased vote still says, "I wear a Large."
evolujohn, I appreciate your trying to get this off center. While I understand your opinion, there's two things you missed: 1) My shoes were actually purchased. They weren't just a design...they are for real and actually being worn, and, 2) If you'll notice the dates the two posts were made - mine was made after I received the shoes...which was well over a month to 6-weeks after they were ordered; thus, well before the other post you mention. In fact I purchased my shoes before there was any contest (real or imagined ) posted on Hornfans. Sincerely, Horn69 Hook'em!!!
Nike has been running a pretty cool promo that allows you to design your own shoe. Go here and see what you can come up with. If y'all do this and then post a pic of your design (and if we get a good number of designs), maybe we can vote for the top 1 or 2 and we'll send them a t-shirt. So take a few moments today and show us what you can design. OK, so maybe that isn't much of a prize, but what is better than the adoration of your peers on HornFans? It is really important that we show Nike how much we appreciate their commitment to HornFans, so please take the time to check out the shoe customization and give it a try.
Horn69, I thought I might ask you for a receipt of purchase to be posted so as to eliminate the date of submission reference I made in eflow24's favor but I thought I'd let you refute the point as I don't know any custom product delivery that could be fufilled within one week and two days... 2/27 to 3/7 It looks like we are the only one's who have gone past the design stage and in fact preempted Orangeblood's "DESIGN YOUR OWN SHOE - Win great prizes!" Contest... I move that the mod declare us victors and contact us both directly for confirmation of t-shirt size and physical mailing address for delivery of said Hornfans.com t-shirt. Or at least call a vote...
