I thought we got out coached in the Baylor game, because Shaka refused to make in game adjustments to stop them from getting to the paint. But, I got to tip my cap to Shaka for deciding to double Hield down the stretch. I thought it was the key reason for our victory. During that pivotal 22-0 run, he would have Connor leave his man to double Buddy every time he touched the ball. The additional man plus Connor's length made it impossible for Hield to get a good shot and even difficulty passing out of the double team. Even when he did, the rest of the Sooners failed to capitalize on the 4 on 3 coverage. It was a risky strategy, but Buddy was killing us up to that point. He's definitely POY material. And the one thing you can't do is let that one guy beat you.

    Congrats Coach.

Definitely a risky move but, as you said, gotta stop their best weapon and see if the others can beat you. The Horns were playing some nasty defense.
