Tears. Wow, what a great ambassador for our university. Hope Sam knows how much we are pulling for him. What a class act.

I grew up like this too. I still have my Dad. We are lucky, he survived cancer three times. My brother and I both wore number 20 Earl Campbell jerseys in the back yard at 6 and 8. My Mom and Dad are alumns as is my grandmother and several uncles and cousins. I never had Sam's athleticism or size, but he lives a lot of people's dreams. Including mine. Hope he keeps making good choices. Sure sounds like he is extremely grounded. He makes it so easy to root for him.

    That’s great, AC.

We share a similar Burnt Orange history (and prospect of playing for the Horns! LOL)

We lost Pops a couple of years ago to cancer. He was 72.

Yes, knowing a little bit of Sam’s personal history and his orangeblood makes it VERY easy to root for him.

Sam is my favorite Longhorn ever. What a inspirational story he has.
