ESPN article on Notre Dame/Big Ten

I was surprised to see that each Big Ten school makes over twice as much TV revenue ($20M) as Notre Dame gets from NBC ($9M).

I don't understand what's holding them back then. He says business reasons are secondary. Really?

 

One thing holds ND back. PRIDE. They think they are bigger than college football, or that they ARE college football. They don't need anyone else, and to admit that is to admit that they aren't who they think they are...

for ND to budge, either NCAA says you have to be in a conference, NBC says buh bye, or BCS says you have to be in conference to be in BCS bowl.
