Might I recommend a practice tailgate this weekend? And in place of the game itself.. Beer Olympics on the fifty yard line. Just a thought.. Just a thought.

 

I was planning to go the the Horn - piggie game Sat. until Ike crushed that.... so there is a lot of other good college football that day... USC vs. tOSU, Mich vs. ND, etc. I say: Go Blue! It is going to be raining where I am so there won't be much else to do, at least outside.

 

Let me get this straight - are you suggesting that Steel Shank sit around all day watching football, drinking beer and eating queso and que? Is that right?

 

I plan to put some straks on the grill and seriously overdose on football and beer.

I'm considering going downtown and setting up our tailgate party in the parking lot anyway. The cancellation of the game has pretty much guaranteed that we will not see a drop of rain in Austin.

Not a bad idea. The game is cancelled, but nobody said anything about tailgates. They should go on as planned. We could hire a couple of street people to wear plastic pigs on their heads to compete the scene. We wouldn't really miss anything.

 

I've been inspired.. I WILL be tailgating this Saturday. Scratch that.. tailgate/hurricane partying. Bring yo asses.

 

Is there a Guiness book record for world's largest tailgate without an accompanying athletic contest?

Wear whatever you please. As for where to bring them, I'd wager to say I will be the only tailgating set up around. However, as plans begin to solidify, I shall keep the board posted (pun intended).
