Does anybody offer a protection plan for accidental damage? I bought my 46" LCD flat panel from Best Buy, but I put it in my car for a cross country move and when I unpacked it the screen was cracked (one too many ******* potholes on the 1500 mile trip). I think I bought an extended warranty for it, but I cant find my receipt so I'm ******. Anyways now I have to drop another 2 grand on a TV so this time I want some protection. So far, the only warranty stuff I've seen is for stuff that doesnt work straight out of the box, or for power surges, but nothing for accidental damage like the kind that happened to me.
I didn't think warranties ever covered anything accidental, only defects in the product. Thats what insurance is for.
If you happened to purchase this with your American Express card, (gold or above I believe) you can file a claim. I think that is your best, last and only hope for coverage now and in the future
