    oh, god, please let's not delve into the crackpotism of intelligent design.

    if you want to teach your kid creationism - fine. do it. read genesis and teach them that god created the earth.

    but don't try to prove it scientifically with this intelligent design claptrap. faith should be enough for that.

    science doesn't ever question the notion of the "who" or "what" behind creation. science questions the "how."

    the sooner christians realize that they aren't at odds with science, the better for all of us.

    here's another disconnect, then.

    ID is the term used by people trying to use science to prove that there is a creator, and want that science taught in the classroom. problem is, it's poor science.

    if you want to argue creationism, i doubt you'll get much of an argument with scientists. hell, a lot of scientists are men and women of faith as well.

    but if you're going to use loaded terms like ID, then be careful.
