The Fyre Festival was sold as a high-end luxury music event on a Bahaman island in early 2017, promoted by popular social media “influencers” — but turned out to be a failure of epic proportions when the arrogant young entrepreneur, Billy McFarland, could not deliver on his ambitious vision. It’s a pretty fascinating story about social media, superficial people trying to impress, and weirdly interesting to watch this train wreck unfold.

There are two different documentaries, one on Netflix and one on Hulu.

Really enjoyed the Netflix doc. I haven’t watched the Hulu one yet.
