I gotta admit seeing how JSU turned out was impressive. And to realize all this attention is due to Deon being the coach and successful coach and only in his second year
I remember some good Egg Bowl games at that old stadium. The city of Jackson owns it and is trying to secure state money to do a complete renovation so Coach Prime doesn't bolt. It's probably too late for that though. I don't think he'd be cool under pressure in a Power-5 job. I see him as a throwing-things, get-put-on-probation kind of guy.
I agree. Think Prime likes to free wheel too much and I think he likes being the Big Fish in the pond. The job he has done in 2 years is impressive though
Crazy idea: Jackson State under Deon (or is it Dion) jumps up to the top division of college football and competes with Ole Miss, Miss St, etc. They could join that conference that UH is currently in or something. They can still play some traditional rivals with non-conference games.
If Deion Sanders moves to a Power 5 school we will most likely see him coaching at his first alma mater, Florida State.
