    Here, here!!

your culture is what's worth fighting for. Tax laws come and go, trade deals ebb and flow, national debt rises and falls... but once you lose your culture, you can't get it back.

This has always befuddled and enraged me about the GOP. The "business first" wing of the GOP seems to always let financial issues trump cultural ones. I'm astounded that they don't realize that the culture is the most important issue. The culture will determine the starting point of all future debates. If the GOP loses the culture war then we aren't talking about whether the government should pay for abortions but how much, we aren't talking about whether we have amnesty but how frequently.

Strauss and his ilk in Austin are willing to trade cultural values so that the state doesn't lose the business of the NCAA, and the like. Screw the NCAA. They can take their ball and go play somewhere else.

It's "Straus", not "Strauss". There is a difference.

Is it just me or is that "boyfriend forced to watch" headline a bit backwards?

A globalist tragi-comedy in three acts:

Act 1 - Macron's wife posts Twitter poll on French election
Act 2 - Le Pen wins
Act 3 - Macron's wife deletes the poll

it reminds me a little bit of how the US MSM sat on facts until after the election that Bill Clinton was a perjuring rapist

Macron put an *** whoopin' on Le Pen (31 points).

Europe should brace for more waves of immigration. I read a statement by Macron to the effect that Europe is experiencing waves of global immigration right now and they should get use to it. He didn't think any action on his part would be necessary.

The amazing thing about liberals is that when their policies fail spectacularly it causes them to double down instead of reevaluating. Hope the French enjoy their continued high unemployment rate, anemic GDP growth, and increased number of terrorist attacks.

The first two are due to their labor policies. If there was uneasiness about Macron, it was due to his pro-business/anti-labor modernization policies. He recognizes the legally mandated shorter workweeks and pro-union stances are holding back France's economy.

The only people more upset at the French election than this guy...

All the memes, fake stories and ultimately hacking/releasing Macron campaign email couldn't scare french voters into voting for xenophobia.

Actually you are right, I assumed he would be a typical French socialist but he does have some good, pro-business positions at least by French standards. However, his 500 euro "cultural pass" to 18 year olds is beyond ridiculous.

Macron is a "centrist" which largely contributed to 9% of the votes being left blank, a traditional French voter protest. The socialists didn't like Le Pen or Macron. He's certainly pro-EU, including the free movement of labor within the Euro zone.
