Anyone else watch this on Nat Geo? I love this show- it's not so much the Alaska aspect as much as it is the drama of watching 7 guys, risking almost everything to find gold under the worst of circumstances. They clearly are not experts, they make mistakes and they get screwed over. Most of us can relate to that in some form or another. I don't really enjoy seeing beautiful countryside torn up like trash, and hope that they do something to help it recover somehow- but that is another story. The show is half way through the season- and should be getting a little happier as their hard work begins to pay off.
I've been hooked on Gold Rush for some time. It makes me want to be there with them and get them going.
Never have so many stupid people been given so much attention. Everything that is wrong with modern tv in one program.
