We have a week, week after labor day, and are considering a week of golf for me paired with a week of spa indulgence, etc for the Mishtress.

Mind you, I'm a high 20's handicapper and am not into the "golf prick" thing (ref BC post this past weekend or so). I prefer the old skanky low dollar muni where the attitudes are normal. Of course I'm overstating this point, and there may be no such thing as a golf resort without the so-called strong golf prick vibe.

The Mishtress thinks she's interested in Arizona. She's definitely not interested in something local, that would be too cheap on my part.

What's a good, not too prickish golf-spa combo?

Just remind her how many more spa services and nice meals she could enjoy at Lost Pines Hyatt for the cost of those airline tickets as well as extra hours spent relaxing instead of traveling..

    Good point.

The target venue has now turned to Santa Fe area.

You could check out the new Buffalo Thunder resort just north of Santa Fe. It has 36 holes of golf, is 15 minutes from Black Mesa(top 50 golf courses in US), and has a casino. I would assume they have a nice spa, as well.
