Commandant Adler thinks only he and the liberal elitist city council are smart enough to dodge covid. The rest of us are too stupid and need to be ruled accordingly. I'm tired of the over reaction to this ****. OMG...So and So got it.....so what!!! I have a huge % of my employees getting tested now just to see if they have it even though they have no symptoms. The "Thanksgiving spike" media blitz has them scared out of their minds. It's so pathetic. It's a virus and has a minimal death rate just like every other virus and it's going to run it's course.
Yep, but when a thread about a Bowl game being cancelled has my comment about the absurdity of that and the fear mongering having several "Dislike" and "Disagree" reactions from posters. It is absurd, and you are correct.
Maybe I shouldn’t admit this but I think Adler was at my Uncles time share in Cabo. He and my Mom go back decades with Steve Adler. He’s a good guy, I’m a conservative, but I can be friend's with liberals. I’ve been around Mr Adler every once in a while since I was in HS. I just knew him as a Golfer and a fun guy. Anyway he is well liked and respected, but yes he’s pretty liberal. Too bad it went down like that.
Very funny guys. That’s why I could never be a politician. I’ll just bro talk him and get on his good side whenever I see him again.
The Austin City Council passed Billions of $s, without putting it up to citizens, to build housing for the homeless. The quote I read says they are trying to undo the effects of Reagan's politics.
The end is nigh "The biggest impact of the pandemic will likely be the mass migration of young professionals. Companies and workers realized in 2020 they didn't need to be in NYC, LA, or SF to be successful. As a result, low tax and high freedom states like TX, TN and FL are booming."
Austin Didn’t Use Its $1B Biomass Power Plant During Winter Crisis | Texas Scorecard Austin Didn’t Use Its $1B Biomass Power Plant During Winter Crisis “Maybe it was not possible given the short emergency time, but it would seem to me that this (power plant) should be on call in emergencies like this.”
Not sure this helps Austin. There are two new cadet classes, but most money goes to raising salaries and pensions. Good for the existing guys in the department, but not effective for more policing.
Perhaps, but quite a swing from 'defund the police.' And not just a large police budget but the largest ever. Not even a year later!
