Good News for Tech fans

I am sure it must feel like a big thumb in the eye that you never got to play for the National Championship, play for the Big 12 title, or even go to a BCS bowl. And it sucks that GH didn’t even get invited to NYC for the Heisman ceremony.

But, remember, pirates never say die. Try to look on the bright side of life!

For example, a few weeks ago (for the first time ever?) I saw racks & racks of Tech merchandize for sale all over the place. Not just sports apparel stores (e.g. Academy), but even grocery stores such as HEB had huge displays of T.Tech t-shirts, footballs, posters and whatall. Maybe Wal-Mart too.

The good news: Now that you dropped off the national stage, all of this stuff has been consigned to the discount bin where it’s going for 50%-75% off! Y’all can load up on sleeveless tees featuring Yosemitie Sam or that nice chick who rides the black horse. I bet they have a ton of awesome Bam Morris, Byron “0.0” Hanspard, and Sherryl Swoops posters available. See? It's not all bad. Keep your little gun up!

There are also a ton of Cotton Bowl tickets available! I think they go on fire sale after Christmas!!!!

 

I hope they enjoyed their fluke season.

Tech beat our Longhorns. Their season was not fluke.

For taking a deep dive against OU, they deserve their fate, but perhaps not the meanspirited gloating which has a way of coming back.

I recommend staying in the holiday spirit, congratulating them for their season (it was a very good one) and hoping that they don't beat Texas again for 20 years.

 

Here's hoping Tech goes 11-1 every year (changing their only loss to OU of course).

 

Its too early for raiders on our board...they are still sleeping the booze off
