I've never understood the ash in urn thing. Just seems weird to me, like why not just get a taxidermist and have them sit in your living room for all eternity? I can see spreading ashes somewhere, but to have your loved ones carry you around for the rest of their lives....meh. I think I'd prefer to go out viking style and have a small boat carry me down a river which then gets lit on fire. Also on the boat will be a bunch of fireworks which will get lit as the boat passes over a giant waterfall with a small amount of c4 to explode as it nears the bottom. Nothing fancy...
