Fun game to be at last night. Only disappointed with the qb play and the really bad call that cost us the game. I don't see ksu scoring a td at all if we go into the half with the lead. Before that call they had maybe 10 yards of offense.
Thank the crowd for really being in it and giving us a real home field advantage. Too bad the offense let us down and didn't score enough tds and blew opportunities.
I'm curious, for those who watched it at home did it seem as quiet on TV as other games? I'm not going to claim this wast he loudest I've ever heard the stadium but it was a decent crowd, stadium was very full by kick-off and the vast majority stayed until the end. I also liked the Boos after every play, I thought it was a lot better than simply chanting BS for one play and then nothing else... Too bad it never got us a make-up call
The crowd was great! It got even louder after that crap call on the muffed punt. It's been awhile since I was not able to talk on Sunday following a game.
Amen to that BevoJoe. I'm totally hoarse screaming from Sec. 101. I was just waiting for someone to tell me to sit down . With the way the D was playing, I was not going to sit down. Crowd was loud last night, not sure how it translated on tv.
Wasn't that loud. I was sitting in my car listening to basketball game after the pick that led to the 17-3 lead and couldn't hear them at all. This team is difficult to watch.
I was there and then watched a replay at home. The crowd noise did come through the tv, too. Best crowd we've had in a long time.
The crowd was great last nite. I was pleasantly surprised by how they were making noise on some key defensive stands and kstate had a couple of delay of games and one timeout on 3rd down that we stuffed them. Even after Case's aimless play around the 2 min mark and we turned the ball over, there were far less folks leaving than before. Almost everyone in my section stayed until the Eyes of Texas was played. Really impressed with the crowd.
This was the first home game I've been to in a while. Last night I was impressed with the crowd. The booing after the bad calls was merciless. I was interested to hear the perception of those who have been to more games recently. It sounded loud to me, in section 2 close to the open end, and almost everyone in our area stood for most of the game. My son sure enjoyed his first trip to DKR.
I watched it on TV (I live in Idaho), and I thought the crowd noise was noticeably louder than in previous games this season. There was actually cheering, rather than golf claps, when we made good plays. Nice job, to those of you who attended.
The stadium was rocking, I think it was louder for the 2008 Missouri game, but that was a bigger game, Texas was #1, and our offense was scoring. I loved booing the refs every play, but wish I didn't have to. They were bad and I usually don't complain because my feeling is the team should do more than let a bad call or 2 lose the game for them. Several times the KSU defender got to the WR early with no flag. Several times the play clock hit ZERO and no flag Obvioulsy the worst was the kick catch interference call, that was weak And I still don't know why KSU was given 10 extra seconds with no running clock to end the half. If its @ 4 seconds they kick a field goal. Can someone explain what happened?
I was sitting in the last row in section 8, and it was so loud that it was actually hurting my ears (I'm not complaining ). I assumed it was just because of the overhang, but it sounds like others took notice.
The crowd really let the ref's have it and fully deserved the booing. That was a bigtime ******** call on the muffed punt. Mack was going crazy on the ref as he should have been. The next time KSU punted, their defender was right up against Diggs and the crowd let the ref's have it again. And again, rightfully so. I thought the stadium was rocking from Section 14C.....
Anyone know where the refs hometowns are. Not a conspiracy theorist or anything but they sure seemed to have it in for us. No way the 3rd and 14 catch was secured on the field. It was right in front of me. The interference call in the end zone was also suspect.
At one point, my ears were ringing from all the crwod noise around me. Great crowd and great defense - Acho, Jeffcoat, Vacaro, Randall were the ones that stood out. offense? not so much.
The head ref was Cooper Castleberry. He's had at least one daughter at aggyland. Lives in Lufkin. Owns Castleberry Furniture, in case you want to patronize him.
