I guess that's the correct way to put it? These are some of my favorite choruses within a song.... Say You Love Me - Fleetwood Mac (the bass line makes the chorus) The Link Blue - The Jayhawks (what a song) The Link Man on the Moon - REM The Link Route - Son Volt The Link The Waiting - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers The Link Better Man - Clint Black The Link Headin' Out to the Highway - Judas Priest The Link Sentimental Lady - Bob Welch The Link just a few
I would have to say just about anything on The Beatles Revolver and Abbey Road albums. "Sun King" is a good one.
"I wanna rock & roll all night....and party everyday" Does it count as the chorus if they are the only words in the song?
In the Judas Priest category, I'd substitute "Living After Midnight". ... and I'll add a Bob Seger category. "Strut" not only is criminally underrated, its got a good chorus and the guitar solo will damn near melt your face off.
Good call on "Her Strut." "You listed Fleetwood Mac, and then chose "Say You Love Me" over "Go Your Own Way"?" It's a better chorus... More.... Fat Bottomed Girls.... Queen The Link Countdown - Rush (almost a better pre chorus) The Link
Hey Jude Na na na na na na na na na na na Hey Jude Repeat 47 times, adding a couple of voices/instruments each time
some songs have such a catchy chorus.. that the verses really kinda suck by comparison. 3 that come to mind... smoke on the water magic (by pilot) too shy (by kaja goo goo)
I am in no way a fan, but for some reason, Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" popped into my head. I am more a fan of bridges myself.. the bridge often makes or breaks a song for me. Have a great bridge and you got me.
"I am more a fan of bridges myself.. the bridge often makes or breaks a song for me. Have a great bridge and you got me." definitely.... Funny, I was going to start a "greatest bridges," thread... "November Rain" - GnR "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant." - Billy JoelThe Link (funny, are those bridges or just completely different songs put together.)
there's a tune on lenny kravitz's first cd called "does anybody out there even care." the bridge on that song is excellent. the song has a serious message, but damn the bridge GROOVES.
Instant Karma Good Vibrations Sweet Caroline The Boxer Pride (in the Name of Love) sometimes simple is good...
"Motoring...." "Young Blood...." "Well, That'll Be The Day....." "You Can't Hurry Love...." "Welcome to the Hotel California...." "Looking For Love in all the wrong places....." "I spent 20 years in prison doing life without parole...." "Dream On..." "You Shook Me All Night Long..." "Mama's alright, daddy's alright...." "867-5309...." "Hit Me With Your Best Shot....." "We're Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band...."
Try getting "All My Exes live in Texas" out of your head. I heard it yesterday in Bandera and it's still tormenting me.
