My mom passed on Oct 6, 2018 — a few hours after Cameron Dicker sealed the 48-45 win against the sooners. A mix of emotions that day, for sure.

For me, it will be 16 years in June, and I find myself driving home in the afternoon, picking up my phone and dialing the 409 before I realize that number (the last four digits of which she and my dad got in 1945) is disconnected.

For those fortunate enough to still have their moms, hope you made this a great day for them.
