It was a heckuva speech and when he drove off in the limo I thought this gathering was likely to get rowdy it did because planning was stupid beyond belief in 1969 I motored up to DC by bus with a hundred or so UT students for the Moratorium. We rioted a little on the mall but did not storm the White House or Congress Nixon had the foresight to invite a few thousand airborne troops from North Carolina, they put their bayonets on we kinda behaved ourselves after seeing them perched in all the side streets. A little tear gas sufficed to get us back on the buses for the ride home
Just my hypothesis but the feds did this to help Epps in his lawsuit against Tucker. Tucker is being sued by Epps for calling him a fed and this charge will help Epps' cause.
What's weird about this is that Bowman ended up voting for the bill, so I'm not even sure what his point was.
He also has never said which door he first went to that he said was locked and that is why he supposedly ended up at the emergency door. Don't believe him PLUS as has been pointed out he can get to the floor to vote Without going outside. There are connecting tunnels.
The other Demx including media who are trying to explain and defend his actions are as ridiculous as he is and making fools of themselves.
People have focussed a lot on Bowman's idiocy in pulling the fire alarm, but he tweeted something that I actually think is more interesting in a way. He is limiting the use of the term "Nazi" only to Nazi Party members and neo-Nazis. I'm glad he takes that position, but since when was that ever the standard applied by his party? They call people Nazis for things that have nothing to do with the Nazi Party or neo-Nazism. I remember Republicans being called Nazis for not wanting gay porn in the middle school library and if you go back far enough, not wanting the Medicare trust fund to go into bankruptcy. Falsely throwing the Nazi label around has been one of their biggest political weapons of the last 40 years. Very weird to see Jamaal Bowman of all people condemning that practice. lol
I'm sure he isn't, but I'm surprised to see him even take a position on the matter. He's basically aligning himself with mainstream conservatives.
That would be fair. I agree. What would also be fair would be to treat the J6 protesters like these guys and release all J6 protesters being held or jailed. Grant them all clemency. Then write laws around what constitutes lawful protest and hold firmly to those laws regardless of the political viewpoint of the protesters.
