Why would he be anymore believable now?
Because this statement, be it true or false, fits into some narrative of the day?
He's just a drunk wife beater with a hard on for Herman as far as I'm concerned.

    So....Ok, cool, hook em. :hookem:

Because we know and understand Herman better now than we used to

    Who is "we"?
What you believe to be "knowing and understanding better" to me is just your opinion of him and the "narrative of the day".
I've never met the man and can't claim to know or understand him.
The only thing he's ever done to offend me is lose a game he shouldn't.
Sam seems to be a pretty good choice at QB.
Why should I suddenly believe a liar that obviously has a bone to pick with Herman?

Maybe what we know and believe now is that Herman thinks he's an intellectual giant and he possibly is very judgmental of others who are not on his (self-image) level?

Do you not trust your own observations?

ps - Tom did not recruit Sam
Sam committed July 2015 (to Strong/Gilbert, but really it was to Texas)
Tom was not hired for another 1.5 years after that
On top of that, playing Sam as a freshman was not much of a "choice." The starter hurt his shoulder and there literally was no-one else. Heard was a WR already by then and after Sam it was Blake Nevins or Josh Covey. That was it. Swoopes was done in 2016.

I know how he acts in front of a camera. How do you think he acts when it's turned off when talking to a "trusted" confidant?

I observe that Herman should win more games against inferior talent.
    Is that what you mean?
So that suddenly makes a lying wife beater a speaker of truth?
I was thinking Sam was a Strong recruit.
But I guess Herman could have stuck with Shane.

I have not been upset by anything he does in front of a camera.
I have no idea how he is off camera.

It's not a matter of being upset. It's the clear indication that he thinks he's the smartest one in the room. One doesn't have to get upset to size another person up.

I figured this would be brought up.
So he was screwing around when he thought he was off camera.
Hell, most social media posts I see these days the poster is doing this publicly.
    Really means nothing to me.

Moon, “we” is a significant portion of the fan base. I would venture to say that it’s over 50%. It might be closer to 75%.

In the case of head coaches, opinions are based on track records and early impressions. Those perceptions are either validated or discredited over time.

There were behavioral red flags with TH before he was fired, but like most, I was all-in. Since, he has failed to demonstrate virtually any of the characteristics required of a successful HC, or a successful leader of a high visibility program. That was not apparent on Day 1. It has become apparent over time.

None of this yet has indicated any reason to believe Zack Smith, an abusive ******* who has already made it clear he has it out for Tom Herman because Tom and Michelle took Courtney Smith's side instead of sweeping Zack's cruelty under the rug.

That Mack Brown sure could both recruit and bring in money from donors. Made the ADs job a lot easier. Herman ain’t Mack.

So, if many of us are disgusted with Herman's comments and attitude to where we have lost interest, you are critical of us. But, when you decide it's appropriate to lose interest based on who the coach is and what you think he has done, then you must be correct.

    Got it.

I believe he just expressed his opinion.
Nowhere did I see an expression of correctness.

It seems that Trump could be available soon. He might be interested in being the new coach. He won't charge any $ and all the woke players and the admin will just love him. Plus his presser's will be epic. It would be HUGE!

But who would coach on gameday as he would be on a golf course.
    Pence?
