Very cool....any ************* great RB like Herschel can have as many personalities as he likes....he earned it...
How are people who claim to be "one of his best friends" or his coach caught off guard? I would imagine that a disorder like this would be somehwhat noticeable over time, especially to people with whom he spent a TON of his time with. It just seems fishy to me that if he truly had this disorder why is everyone so shocked to hear it?
I'm a psychologist and I have to admit that this story doesn't add up to me. Anything's possible, but this just doesn't mesh with research on this disorder. This is a technical point, but if the guy has lived with it and gotten treatment for it for years (which it would take if he were to be able to function as well as he has), wouldn't he call it by its actual name of dissociative identity disorder?
honolulu horn, Notice that no part of the link quotes Herschel's own words. Now that this story is getting so much publicity, I imagine it won't be long before we hear comments from his own mouth, but as of now, I don't see any from Herschel himself.
Everyone always said he would take the Cowboys to a Super Bowl. I guess with the trade to the Vikings with all of those draft picks and all of the talent that came, he got them to 3 Super Bowls.
I recall him saying that he wanted to be an FBI agent when he retired from football. Maybe that was the Clarice Starling personality coming out. It does seem odd that his father, coach and best friend had no clue about this condition.
It makes sense to me. NO IT DOESN'T! Shut up! I agree with him. Boys, boys boys. Stop fighting. There's room enough for everyone. Oh, look. A peanut.
ok now it makes sense. remember the ballerina herschel? when tutu meets bambam, there has to be a conflict.
No wonder he was able to do all those push-ups and sit-ups daily...he had his own little internal relay going.
I saw this on Nightline last night. My question is, if he has all these personalities, why are they all running backs? Not one of them seemed to think it was a QB.....
