Meanwhile, it's a race through the aisles at the grocery store - trying to put items into the cart before a stocker comes along to tag a new higher price.
I really feel for folks in the lower middle class - feeding a family is taking a larger and larger part of their budget.

Another Biden advisor told MSNBC today that this would have no effect on inflation and lied again that inflation was 0 percent this month. F these liars.

In addition to age requirements, Congress and all other public officials should be required to pass a basic economics and civics test.

You have to be impressed at how Beto exploits his idiot base.

Phone bills up 625%! Let’s say your bill was $50 prior to Abbott. Now its over $300? Math is a foreign concept to idiots in the democrat party.

Interesting summary. As I look through it, I note the items that I normally buy - food, gasoline, electricity, car repairs and insurance - and see that they're well above 8.5% average inflation. And I think that my outlays are typical of retirees. On a fixed income, I'm feeling the pain - and Biden keeps telling us that inflation is transitory.
At least we can look forward to the COLA to make up for a small part of the impact. Of course, the COLA will come too late to help for this year's pain, and it won't cover all of the pain - but it will help some.

If they calculated CPI now like they did in the 1980s, CPI would be around 17%.

Diesel is starting to spike again...large truck stop I go past every day is up almost twenty cents a gallon this week. And since we know diesel is close kin to home heating oil/kerosene, that tells you what the expectations should be come winter...and also that costs of goods will be going up.

Exactly, mb227. Since goods have to be transported from point-of-production to point-of-sale, the cost of transportation must be factored into the price of the goods. If transportation cost increase, so will the prices of the goods. OUCH!

And, naturally...the left will whine about the evil corporations while simultaneously ignoring that the increased hourly wages they demand impacted the dock workers, the truck drivers, the warehouse people, the store people, with each little increase going into the standard equations which drive the price.

And then there are the increased costs of paying the drillers, the refiners, the boat captains slaloming amongst the icebergs, the pipeline workers, the local distribution people and...the truck drivers who deliver to the corner stores which are NOT generally owned by the oil companies.

So basically, the Latin Americans are schooling us on how to mitigate inflation. Bet you never thought you’d see a world where that was the case…

Board of Governors, curriculum, Banco de México

Mexico's Central Bank Board (their Federal Reserve) is 60% Female, and consists of the following Members:

    Governor:
    - Victoria Rodriguez Ceja-- Female (we've seen her photo)
    Deputy Governors:
    - Irene Espinosa Cantellano -- Female
    - Gerardo Esquivel Hernandez -- Male
    - Jonathan Heath -- Male
    - Galia Borja Gornez -- Female

And if this isn't "diverse" enough for you, perhaps they could find a transvestite in Tijuana or Nuevo Laredo to join their esteemed Board. :lmao::beertoast:
