Yawn. I can't remember a party chairman that I've been impressed with on either side. The nominee runs the party IMO.
Not terribly important because Steele had very little to do with who was nominated, the positions they took, or any other meaningful aspect of the past election. I think a good chairman could have an impact. Steele was mostly a non-factor. My main issue with him was his outrageous abuse of the expense account. Integrity should be a minimum requirement for the position.
