Losing after a 14 point lead is an epic failure. Shaka is all hat, no cattle. Talks a good game, which is probably what landed him the Texas gig (he probably wowed them in the interview). Shaka's teams: poor in-game execution; consistently unprepared; no in-game adjustments by coaches. Shaka doesn't know what he's doing.
Seems like, as a program, we may be best known for early exits by teams with a lottery pick We do less with more edit
I really think Shaka should be sent packing. There's just no evidence of a scheme or something that puts the team at an advantage on the floor.
I was going to post at halftime that I had no confidence we could hold on, but I didn't want to be that guy. I'm usually not too hard on coaches, but Shaka is f ing killing me! I won't say another word.
Never thought I'd say it but Osetkowski needs to be a bench player next year. He has been absolute garbage down the stretch and he was garbage today.
Was working and didn't get to watch a minute of the game, but kept up with Yahoo sports app. Seems like most other losses this year. Get big lead, blow it late in the second half, lose in OT. The other team figures us out, adjusts and we just keep doing the same dang thing over and over. Par!
Earlier this year we were playing some game. My wife walks by and asks about the game. I said, “I already know how it is going to end. It will go right to the end, probably into overtime and we lose on the last play.” She said, “Oh, this is recorded?” “No, every game we play is that way.”
Probably not as much as me... I figured sweet 16 would be a disappointment by his third year. Current expectation, making the tourney is a pleasant surprise.
Free throws always seem to be a challenge for some middle schoolers and the U. of Texas basketball players. The middle schoolers do a little better job of inbounding the ball in criticle situations. I will never understand why a D-1 basketball player cannot shoot free throws in the 80’s.
This program doesn't start taking steps forward until it jettisons Shaka. Until then, we'll be handicapped by an incompetent coach. I'm sure Shaka will smooth talk another McDonald's All-American or two to come to Texas, in vain of course. The man cannot coach.
Yeah, I rmbr game one of the season and I was thinking he was going to be a point forward, a bad-haired Charlotte version Anthony Mason In hindsight, that idea was horribly optimistic
I would suggest most of the losses this year was on the coach. Short bench or not, this team has talent and lots of it.
Defenders will point to the loss of key players each season This year was 5-star Jones Last year was no PG after Taylor went pro, then Tevin Mack (leading scorer) was released
